Review: VeDO Wink Rabbit Vibrator

One of the most popular categories of sex toys are the dual stimulators, or as they are more commonly known, the rabbit vibrators. They are often the first variation of vibrator that come to mind at the thought of enhancing solo pleasure but this comes with some complications. The famous episode of Sex In The City where Charlotte falls in love with her rabbit is a prime example of why these vibrators are so broadly known and why so many people think they are the best choice when shopping at a sex store. What many people don’t realise is that these toys are completely anatomy dependent. Not every rabbit suits every vulva due to the differences in anatomy. This can make finding the right one frustrating and expensive. However buying through Lovehoney gives you the option to send back the bunnies that don’t work with your hutch for up to a year after purchase with no questions asked.

Vedo Wink Rabbit VibratorA white and purple box arrived with a simple product shot on the front, description and diagram on the back and further product shots on the sides. Inside the box I found the VeDO Wink within some plastic casing and a product guide. It doesn’t give much away as it’s more of a small product catalogue than a user manual but there are some of the features listed within and everything else can be found on the box.

The Wink is made up of a silicone body and finished with a plastic handle. It’s completely body-safe, odourless, non-toxic and hypoallergenic. The silicone feels velvety and silky to the touch. It’s surprisingly luxurious considering the price tag but has the expected resistance to its silicone surface. I would recommend using a generous amount of water-based lubricant to remove this and aid penetration. Rinse before each use to remove lint from the surface and again thoroughly afterwards with soap to remove any fluids that may be trapped within the subtle ridged lines on the internal arm.

Vedo Wink Rabbit VibratorUnfortunately this is not a rechargeable vibrator, so get a pack of double A’s on hand. To insert the two required batteries, unscrew the base and drop them inside the compartment. Frustratingly there was no diagram inside indicating which way around the batteries should be placed so I had to swap them a few times to get the device working. The base has to be secured in place firmly after removing or replacing the batteries to ensure that it remains fully waterproof.

VeDo’s Wink has a two button control panel. The top button operates the internal arm and the bottom one controls the external. You can press and hold either button for a few seconds to begin. Tap the arm you wish to control to cycle through the speed options and press and hold to turn off. These arms can be controlled independently which means you can use this vibrator with one arm turned off completely if you wish. You can also use completely different settings on each arm if you prefer more intensity in one area and less in the other.

Each button has a number written on them to signify the amount of functions available in the arm that button controls. There are twelve settings in the shaft and three in the clitoral arm. The shaft has three constant modes of vibration and nine patterns whilst the external arm just has the constant modes. I prefer steady vibrations as I find patterns irritating but for people who do enjoy them there are a multitude of options to explore.

Vedo Wink Rabbit VibratorThe three speeds in the external arm are buzzy but tolerable. I usually prefer my vibrations to be rumbly and deeply stimulating but as long as I’m not wanting to force the toy away from my clitoris because of numbing sensations then I’m happy. Considering the source these vibrations have a first-rate amount of strength behind them and although they don’t penetrate to all of the nerve endings in that area they can bring me to orgasm. It’s not the strongest external arm I’ve ever felt on a dual stimulator, but it is one of the better battery-powered ones out there.

As for the shafts vibrations, the story is similar. Also high-pitched, buzzy and surface level stimulation. The patterns in particular were high-frequency but as I don’t use them this wasn’t problematic for me. One thing I noticed about the shaft was that the highest intensity of constant vibration felt stronger than the highest intensity in the clitoral arm. I personally need my power surge the other way around so this wasn’t the best news for me although it would be ideal for people who prefer stronger internal vibes.

The internal arm offers up 6.75 inches of insertable length which makes it one of the longer rabbits I’ve come into contact with. A lot of the others that I’ve reviewed previously measure in between four and five and a half inches. The extra length is fun to have on days that I’m craving deeper penetration but it’s also a hinderance on other days. I may not have periods anymore but my cervix still sits lower at certain times of the month which makes the vaginal canal shallower and the toy more likely to cause discomfort. If you have a shallow vaginal canal, tilted uterus and/or struggle with length for other reasons then this wouldn’t be a good choice for you. The arm might be slim at just over four inches in circumference but it’s rigid and can batter the cervix when used at the wrong angle or time of the month.

It’s not an everyday occurrence to find rabbits that fit my body well, sometimes I find one that I can make work despite some problems but only a handful have been perfect. The Wink would have been perfect with less length as the clitoral arm is ideal for me. It’s short and rests in place over the clitoris, which is a rare treat. I’m not sure what the term is for an external arm that doesn’t resemble a rabbit-ear or two split ears, but whatever it’s called works well for me.

Vedo Wink Rabbit VibratorAchieving blended orgasms with the Wink can and does happen, but it depends on the positioning of my cervix, how sensitive I’m feeling and how in tune I’m feeling with the sensations. I didn’t have much luck with the internal arm stimulating the g-spot despite it having the level of firmness I usually ask for as there wasn’t enough of a defined curve for my body. I can make the magic happen from general vaginal and simultaneous clitoris contact if both arms are turned up to full strength as long as I’m properly aroused and well lubricated.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about the VeDO Wink. There are a bunch of positive things going for it such as the easy to use control panel, accurate clitoral fit, quiet motor, body-safe material, power levels and classic aesthetics but there are also a handful of negatives. Those things include being battery-operated, having a lack of precise curve below the head, having a stronger internal arm when a vast amount of people with vulvas get off on clitoral stimulation and the length. I like it sometimes, but other times I find it uncomfortable due to the positioning of my cervix and uterus. I would be able to recommend it to people who prefer deep penetration, like strong internal vibrations and want a slim shaft and advise those who like slimmer, thicker toys with more external power to look elsewhere.

Review: So Divine Let’s Go Crazy Rabbit Vibrator

During the past twelve months there have been several new brands and companies that have managed to earn a spot on my sex toy radar but the only company that managed to consistently maintain my interest was So Divine. My partner and I have been so impressed with the quality of the products we have reviewed from them so far and their mission to produce safe, affordable sex toys for all is one that resonates deeply with us. So Divine’s journey started with mini bullets, single speed bullets, classic vibrators and massaging wands that doubled as internal vibrators. It continued with a petite jewelled plug which was followed by two larger plugs and it now expands further with the release of two rabbit vibrators.

The Let’s Go Crazy arrived in standard So Divine style – a minimalistic purple and white box with a striking product photo on the front. It points out a few key features on the side of the box and instructions for use on the back. Inside, the rabbit can be found alongside a three pin plug, charging cable, storage pouch and the information leaflet that comes with all of their toys. It gives a quick introduction to the company and basic cleaning directions for the product.

Charging couldn’t be simpler. Place the USB end of the cable into the port on the plug and then place that into an available socket. Next, attach the magnetic connector to the corresponding points on the back of the vibrator. It also has the helpful option of removing the plug for on the go charging. A flashing power light indicates that it’s charging, a steady light indicates a full battery and no light indicates that it’s not connected to the power or turned on. Full charge takes about four hours and gives two hours of use.

Let’s Go Crazy is made from soft, luxurious silicone. This means it’s non-toxic, odourless, hypoallergenic and completely body safe. No latex or phthalates either. A hygienic, non-porous material is what I recommend opting for with all sex toys but it’s an absolute must-have if sharing the toy between partners. Silicone is the only safe material that doesn’t have to be rock hard. The kind that’s used on this vibrator is incredibly silky and smooth. It feels delightful. There’s not much resistance to the material but I’d still suggest a generous slathering of water based lube for comfortable use. To clean, rinse this waterproof device under warm water and slather it with soap.

Operating time! There are five buttons on the control panel and the central button is the one that turns the toy on and off. It goes into standby mode when the light is blue which means other buttons will then work. To start the vibrations, press the top button for a couple of seconds. You also switch through the ten functions via this button. To increase the intensity of the vibrations use the plus button and to decrease them use the minus. The final button on the bottom controls the heat function with a simple tap. You can change the settings whilst the heat is on as normal and the lights will flicker between blue and red alternatively.

Let's Go Crazy Rabbit Vibrator

If you like girthy rabbits or larger insertables, then this may not be the best choice for you. It has a maximum circumference of 4.25 inches which is rather slimline. I personally like both slim and thick toys so I wasn’t discouraged by the size at all and I feel that it would be a great choice for people who prefer smaller vibrators or simply want something non-intimidating for first-time use. There are also five inches of insertable length which is pretty standard for a rabbit. It’s long enough to hit the right spots but short enough to avoid the cervix.

When I saw the colour scheme and shape of this rabbit I thought back to my experience with the Lelo Ina 2, a rabbit that I tried a while back that just didn’t work for me. On paper, it looked like it would have been perfect for me but in practice it wasn’t due to the firmness of the internal arm and the positioning of the clitoral arm. I do like my internal vibrators to be firm, but there’s a line between ‘firm enough’ and ‘ouch’. It had no flexibility whatsoever which meant I couldn’t move it around to avoid the bashing it gave to my internal spots and it left me feeling disappointed and wondering whether rabbits were just a waste of my time.

I have said in every rabbit review I have ever written that they are notoriously difficult to get right and are completely dependent on the users anatomy. It can be hard to tell from looking at one whether it will fit or not so it’s usually down to trial and error. Our vulvas are all different, even if the changes are minimal from one person to the next. These subtle changes in anatomy can be the deciding factors as to whether a particular rabbit will work for the user or not. Subtle changes in shape between two rabbits can be another deciding factor. For example, the Ina 2 has a similar shape to the Let’s Go Crazy but this suits me much better due to the flex of the shaft and internal arm.

Let's Go Crazy Rabbit VibratorBeing able to alter the positioning of the internal arm allows me to send it to the places where I want focused stimulation and avoid the spots where it pokes uncomfortably. The bulbous head and gentle curve of the shaft contour to my g-spot beautifully and caress it with rumbly, powerful vibrations. I stick to the constant speeds on high intensities and find myself riding out the waves of orgasm within several minutes.

The clitoral arm is placed in the perfect position for my body allowing the arm to firmly push up against the clitoris rather than sitting above or next to it. I can make the most of these external vibrations because the fit lines up well and I don’t need to move the toy around much internally to get the stimulation that I’m looking for. I think this is due to a combination of the gentle shape and the heating function. Without the heat I think I would have to put in more work to get my orgasms.

Being the sucker for temperature play that I am, a heating function is always warmly welcomed. I usually choose to use cold temperatures with glass and metal sex toys but heat on silicone feels exquisite and each time I experience it I wish all of my toys had the option to warm up. Once the function has been turned on it takes about five minutes to gradually warm up to 38 degrees. It is certainly noticeable at that point and it feels out of this world when combined with the powerful rumbly vibrations of this dual-motored device. It’s something I would recommend everyone try at least once.

Let's Go Crazy Rabbit Vibrator

Overall, I love So Divine more each time a new product is released and this has made me all the more excited for further products in 2018. Let’s Go Crazy is a winning rabbit for me. It has everything that I could want in this style of vibrator as well as the bonus of heat. The shape is perfect, the motors are reasonably quiet, the dimensions are ideal for all players regardless of experience level and the amount of combinations that can be created left me wanting to have fun with this for several more hours after I finished testing it.

Review: Be Sassy Be Unique Dual Stimulation Vibrator

I don’t like ruling out an entire range of products based on a negative experience with one item so I asked Orion if they’d be willing to let me review another product from their own-brand Be Sassy collection. I had tried out the Be Charming Lay-On Vibrator from this range earlier in the year and found it less than impressive. It wasn’t my perfect match or even an enjoyable one night stand as it just wasn’t the right product for me. The vibrators motor was the main problem that I had with it although I don’t think it helped that my preferences and needs were different to what that toy could offer. I didn’t want to just assume that the rest of the range would be unsuitable and extract the same response from me so I accepted two more vibrators from the range with an open mind and willing vulva. This review is going to be for the Be Unique, a dual-stimulation vibrator with a shape I’d never tried before. Did it work for me or did it leave me feeling flustered in all the wrong ways? Read on to find out!

The packaging cannot be faulted. It’s simplistic and fairly plain with no tacky images in sight. The box shows an image of the Be Unique on the front and back and the back also offers a couple of informational snippets. The sides offer multilingual basic descriptions regarding the key features. The front of the box can be opened up via the magnetic clip to reveal the vibrator behind a viewing screen, which is a nice touch. Inside, I found the toy and a generic user guide. There’s no storage bag included.

Be Unique has been created from silicone, a completely body-safe material that is non-toxic, non-porous, odourless and phthalate free. It’s also clear from latex and is hypoallergenic, which means it can be properly cleaned between uses and won’t harbour bacteria. The silicone feels of a high standard and the vibrator itself appears to be well-made and put together. It doesn’t have any off-putting seams or rough edges around the rigid plastic control panel and it looks good overall. I think the material feels smooth to the touch and luxurious but it has the typical drag associated with silicone. A coating of water-based lubricant will remove this and make insertion and use comfortable.

Neither the manual, box or website specified whether this toy is waterproof but as the manual indicates that it should be cleaned with soap/toy cleaner and water, I assume that it is. I have not had any problems when rinsing it but I have been particularly cautious when rinsing and haven’t submerged it. I would not recommend using this in the bath or shower and I’d advise avoiding getting the base of the toy wet to stop water getting into the battery compartment.

It’s not rechargeable like most of the other products in this range and batteries do not come included. It takes two triple a’s and these are placed inside the above mentioned battery compartment. There’s a little switch on the base (underneath the word open) that needs to be flicked upwards to remove the cap. Once it’s been removed, add the batteries as the compartment directs and slide the cap back on firmly.

Be Sassy Be Unique Dual Stimulation VibratorThe Be Unique is operated via a simple, easy-to-operate two button interface. A power button and a spiral-like button. The power button does what the name implies. It just turns the toy on and off with a quick tap. The other button switches through the various settings of which there are seven. There are two constant vibration modes to choose from and five patterned modes. I would have liked three levels of speed instead of the fifth pattern but this is personal preference as patterns don’t do anything for me.

Beginners, gather around. This dual stimulator has a maximum girth of 4.3 inches which makes it slimline and suitable for those with little-to-no penetration experience and those who are new to sex toys. It’s also a great option for people who prefer slimline insertables. I like slim, medium and bordering on large insertables depending on my mood and sensitivity levels. This toy is great for occasions where I want internal stimulation from something petite. It has five and a half inches of useable length and an overall shaft of 7.8 inches which leaves a couple of inches to grip onto during use.

Dual stimulators are notorious for being the hardest vibrators to work with. This is because they are completely anatomy dependent. What works for one person, won’t necessarily work for the next. The Be Unique wasn’t the best fit for my body although it wasn’t the worst either. The short clitoral arm is what I typically look for as my clitoris and entrance are quite close together so I need don’t much length to reach the right spots. The external arm in this case does hover over the clitoris but because it tapers to a point rather than a rounded tip or separated ears it doesn’t cover the entire area or stay in position without some assistance. I need to hold it down for it to work with my body. This is not the worst thing in the world but I prefer to use rabbits that remain steady over that area so I can focus on the shaft.

Be Sassy Be Unique Dual Stimulation VibratorThe two ridged bumps on the top section of the shaft reminded me of the Tantus Charmer, which is one of my favourite textured dildos, and I had high hopes for it. The head of the Be Unique is firmer than the Charmer which means that stable pressure against the g-spot is possible and welcomed.

I need some firmness against this area to be stimulated to the point of orgasm and to my surprise, this toy has what it takes. I can orgasm from the g-spot stimulation it gives me thanks to those beautiful bumps. If it had an extra inch in girth then it would have been absolutely perfect for me as the slim shaft doesn’t provide much stimulation to the vaginal walls, which is something that I really enjoy.

The Be Unique has two motors, one in each arm. Both of these motors are buzzy but I don’t think they’re as high-pitched/high-frequency as the singular motor used inside the Be Charming. It can become numbing if used for longer than ten minutes or so but it isn’t the worst buzzing that I’ve come across and it definitely does not frustrate me as much as the last experience did. Both motors have an adequate amount of power to them although I could have done with some additional strength in the external arm.

Be Sassy Be Unique Dual Stimulation Vibrator

Overall, I definitely prefer the Be Unique to the Be Charming which was unexpected as dual stimulators tend to be my toughest testing tasks. The internal arm on this has a great shape and size for beginners but the external arm is not going to work for everyone due to it’s uniquely pointed tip. It didn’t particularly work for my body so it has to be my biggest criticism of this product. I do still think that the motors could be improved (with less buzzing) but this is a definite improvement on round one and I’m curious to see what the future holds.

Review: Javida Nubby Vibe with Clit Stimulator

Have you ever seen a dual stimulator with nubs on each arm before? Because I hadn’t. When I spotted the Javida Nubby Vibe with Clit Stimulator on Orion’s website I was rather curious. I wasn’t sure what to make of this vibrator initially but I just knew that I had to try it for myself and find out what those nubs felt like. I was itching to know. I had tried one other Javida product before, their heated massager, so I knew that I had a good quality product on the way but I didn’t know whether the nubs would be fun and stimulating or uncomfortable and boner killing material. Read on to find out whether the nubby was a painful experience or a pleasurable one.

Javida Nubby Vibe with Clit StimulatorThe packaging was similar to what I encountered before, it just had a different colour scheme. There’s a black and red box that is decorated with floral graphics and features key product information in the back and sides. The front of this box has a magnetic flap that can be opened up to reveal the vibrator behind a window of plastic which is a lovely touch. Inside, I found the vibrator, generic instruction leaflet and the required charging cable. My only complaint is the lack of storage bag as I think that’s a must-have extra once the price tag reaches £50+.

Javida’s Nubby Vibe is made from hypoallergenic, non-toxic, body-safe silicone and the handle is made from a robust abs plastic that has been coated with polyurethane. This just makes the handle softer and more comfortable to hold. This toy does not contain latex or phthalates and seems to be well-made and nicely designed. I was once again impressed with the feel of the silicone as the incredibly smooth surface feels delightful to the touch and has the smallest amount of drag possible. It should be used with lubricant for comfort regardless of the amount of drag it has or hasn’t got and this should be water based as to not degrade the silicone. Neither the box nor the website description mentions whether this product is waterproof so I haven’t risked it and have been cleaning it with antibacterial toy wipes instead of soapy water.

Javida Nubby Vibe with Clit StimulatorSo this vibrator is rechargeable via USB. I placed that end of the cable into my laptop and attached the magnetic clips on the other end to the corresponding prongs on the rear of the Nubby. Whilst it is charging a red light will flash on the control panel and this becomes steady once complete. It takes roughly an hour and a half to charge the device fully and this is said to provide around forty minutes of use on the highest intensity and around sixty minutes on the medium to low functions.

There’s only one button on this toy so it’s really simple to use. The button is located just under the clitoral arm and needs to be pressed and held for three to five seconds to turn the vibrations on. A light will turn on once the toy is in use. Tap the button again to cycle through the various settings and press and hold it down for a few seconds to turn off. There are ten functions to choose from. Three constant speeds of varying intensities and seven patterns.

Javida Nubby Vibe with Clit StimulatorI think this is one of the smallest dual stimulators or “rabbits” that I have in my collection at the moment. It is 7.2 inches in overall length with an insertable shaft of around 3.9 inches. This is pretty short for an internal arm as most are around the four and half to five and a half-inch mark.

Having said that, I think that this makes the Nubby a very viable option for a beginner. I generally don’t recommend this type of toy to someone who’s just starting out as I think you need to know your body and anatomy well to find the ones that work for you, but if you’re a beginner with a similar layout to my body, then I’d point you this way. It has a maximum girth of just under 3.9 inches which is pretty slim and manageable.

Dual stimulators are completely anatomy dependent so I wasn’t shocked at all when the fit of this one wasn’t the best that I’ve encountered. I know that shorter external arms are generally a good bet for me as my clitoris and entrance are quiet close together and I don’t need much  length to reach it. It rests at just about at the right spot although an extra inch or two of length would have made the arm line up perfectly. It sits covering half of this sweet spot as it is which means I can’t get maximum sensation from the vibrations or texture. This leaves me with the feeling that I need more and I can’t shake it off. As a result, the Nubby feels underwhelming and half-hearted.

Javida Nubby Vibe with Clit StimulatorIt is disappointing that this is the case as I cannot fault the internal arm. It has everything I could want. A bulbous head, angled shaft and enough firmness to satisfy the inner diva of my g-spot. The nubby texture provides some extra stimulation and feels wonderful when using it in a circular motion to massage the g-spot.

The first setting was rumbly which is my preference and I could find myself getting along with this one. Unfortunately it didn’t have the amount of power I needed on the lowest intensity so I turned it up and then a swarm of buzzy, higher frequency vibrations erupted.

I don’t think these settings feel terrible, but I’m not fond of the buzzing as I find it distracting. I ended up using the rabbit without the vibrations with the internal arm working on my g-spot and a strategically placed We-Vibe Tango working on my clitoris. I could orgasm like this just fine. I tried again a few days later with the vibrations on and found myself being more tolerable of the internal vibrations on that occasion. So I now feel like I will be able to use this occasionally as intended but only on days that I’m not feeling over sensitive and have already penetrated with something else beforehand. I couldn’t just jump in with this if I hadn’t used an internal toy for a week or so as my g-spot would be too alert to cope with the buzzing.

As the Javida Nubby Vibe has two motors, I was expecting it to be noisy. It wasn’t. Even if I used the highest intensity, the sound could be easily drowned out with a duvet and a closed bedroom door. I wouldn’t and don’t mind using this when others are present in the house so for that reason I’d be happy to point people who need discretion in the direction of this nubby little number.

You can purchase the Javida Nubby Vibe with Clit Stimulator (€54.95/£50.65) from Orion.
