Review: Lovehoney Power Play G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator

I recently offered to test a new rabbit for Lovehoney, without knowing much more about it than that. I discovered later on that it was a new addition to the Power Play range and I was really pleased as the love egg and classic vibrator I have from that range are pretty good.

My package arrived quickly and discreetly as per all Lovehoney deliveries and I was greeted with the familiar female-friendly own-brand packaging that I’ve come to love. The box is pretty simple, it just features a picture of the toy on the front and lists the toys best qualities on the side. Inside the box, the rabbit is secured within a plastic tray, along with a small information guide. This leaflet just gives the usual tips and tricks for how to use and care for the rabbit, with a helpful diagram of the battery compartment. I will admit that I would have loved to have seen a storage bag be included, but I’m not going to hold that against them.

The Power Play G-Spot Rabbit is made from a very smooth, matte-feeling silicone, which is almost luxurious to the touch. Silicone is non-toxic, non-porous, hypoallergenic and free from latex and phthalates, which makes it completely body-safe and eco-friendly. It has some drag to it, but this is minor, so I didn’t feel the need to use a whole lot of lubricant, but a quick splashing of water-based was enough to make my experiences more comfortable. It’s completely waterproof, which is always good news as this makes for a more exciting shower as-well as making clean-up quick and convenient. This toy just needs a drop of toy cleaner and a thorough rinse to get it all fresh and ready for its next use.

The overall length of the Power Play G-Spot Rabbit is 10 inches and it has 5.5 inches of insertable length with a circumference of 5 inches around the widest point. I would say the girth is manageable for most frequent toy users, but if you are somebody who prefers a slimmer girth, then the Desire Rabbit might be better for you, although it doesn’t rotate like this one does. This rabbit is battery-operated, which is really one of the only downfalls for me as I’d love a rechargeable rotating rabbit, but these seem to be hard to come across. The three AA batteries this takes are inserted into the battery compartment in the base as shown on the diagram.

This vibrator is operated via a simple four-button interface. The bottom button (~) begins the vibrations in the clitoral stimulator and changes through the settings with each tap. There are three different constant intensities to choose from, followed by a group of patterns. This button turns the toy completely off when pressed and held for a few seconds too. The upwards arrow begins the rotation of the shaft and cycles through the three levels of intensity with each tap, whilst the down arrow decreases this. The last button features two arrows and is in charge of changing the direction of the rotation when pressed.

Since I started using rechargeable toys frequently, many battery-operated ones just aren’t able to compare or keep up with the power that I’m used to, but the Power Play range is an exception to this. It does take me much longer to bring me to orgasm than the Happy Rabbit 2 or Je Joue Fifi, but sometimes I would rather have a long, drawn-out orgasm rather than one that’s over in five minutes.

I decided to try out the clitoral stimulator separately first to get a feel for the vibrations. I was happy to discover that the ears had some flex to them and that they’re quite long, as this made it more likely that I’d be able to adjust it to fit with my anatomy and get the most comfortable position possible. I did find the fit pretty good and the ears reached my clitoris quite easily in most positions, although it was the most satisfying in missionary as I expected. I need strong clitoral power to orgasm and I wasn’t sure whether this toy would be able to offer what I needed, but when I reached the third speed, I found it was definitely the most suitable, although it wasn’t quite strong enough to bring this power queen to orgasm on its own. It should definitely be strong enough for most people though, especially those who have a sensitive clitoris. The ears also have seven patterns, but as they aren’t my thing, I didn’t really get anything from them.

I then decided I should try out the shaft separately too, as rotation is something I’d never actually experienced before due to not being able to find a suitable silicone rabbit that offered this. I tried it out in the palm of my hand first and was pretty impressed with the three intensities. It has a setting for every mood, from gentle massage through to the final setting which I like to call spin cycle as it’s pretty intense. I then applied some water-based lubrication and inserted it before starting the rotation again in combination with the clitoral stimulators best offering.

I started out on the lowest rotation so I could determine how this rabbit was going to work (or not) for my g-spot. It turns out that I didn’t need to think about it for long as the toy found my g-spot of its own accord. The head has just the right amount of firmness to provide the perfect amount of pressure against this spot, which makes it pretty easy for me to orgasm. The third and final rotation setting seems to hit all the right places effortlessly, combining the g-spot and clitoral stimulation with some attention to the vaginal walls. I managed to have a couple of blended orgasms with this with little to no effort.

In terms of noise, battery-operated toys are never going to be as quiet as rechargeables, but it is quieter than the classic vibrator from this range. I am happy to use this rabbit when people are home but only with background music, a closed-door and a strategically placed duvet. I don’t think this is necessarily the best option for someone who values and needs discretion. I would definitely take that into account before purchasing and I’d suggest a rechargeable like the Happy Rabbit G-Spot version if discretion is truly essential.

Overall, I am pleased with the Power Play G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator. The size is absolutely perfect for me, in terms of length and girth. It manages to be filling, without being uncomfortable or overwhelming. It might be slightly too intense/large for a complete first-timer, but it should be manageable and enjoyable for most who have experience with sex toys who match up with the build of this. I do wish it had been rechargeable, as this would allow the clitoral arm to be slightly stronger, with some possible rumble to it, but that’s really my only niggle. It attracts a fair bit of lint too, but what silicone toy doesn’t?

I received the Power Play G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator (£39.99) from Lovehoney in exchange for my honest review. Thank you! Affiliate links have been used within this post.
