Review: Mötley Crϋe Too Fast For Love 10 Function Bullet Vibrator

When I received an email from Lovehoney asking if I’d like to review a couple of Mötley Crϋe vibrators prior to the launch, my answer was a very obvious and immediate yes. I was possibly even more excited about this range than I was about the Motörhead range and that is saying something. This is a range designed and created by Lovehoney, sealed with the bands approval. It’s official Mötley Crϋe merchandise and I’d definitely recommend picking up a vibrator or two as a memento, if nothing else.

The first thing that I noticed about this product after removing it from the plain, padded envelope it arrived in was the fantastic packaging. It resembles a singles cover and reminds me of a time where you’d go to HMV and buy physical copies of your favourite records as soon as they were released. To open the packaging, you simply unfold the two flaps and open up the cardboard sleeve. In here, you’ll find the bullet vibrator in plastic casing. If you continue to unfold the sleeve you’ll notice battery instructions and a lovely black and white photo of the band. I think the packaging for the Mötley Crϋe Bullet is much better than the Motörhead packaging which was an absolute bitch to get into.

Once I had removed the packaging, I examined the toy and found no faults with its build quality or appearance. It is made from robust, rigid ABS plastic and is free from latex and phthalates, as-well as being non-porous and non-toxic. It is extremely smooth to the touch, although the stunning glossy finish can make the bullet difficult to hold once lubricant is involved. Only water-based varieties should be used with this product. It is fully waterproof, so can be used in the bath or shower without damage. It’s also quick and easy to clean as it can be rinsed after a couple of squirts of toy cleaner is applied.

The Too Fast For Love Bullet is battery-operated and takes one AAA. To get started simply unscrew the cap at the base of the bullet, insert the battery as directed and screw the cap back on firmly. It is important to tighten it as much as possible or it will not turn on or be water-friendly. It is operated via a singular button on the base, so it’s just a tap once to turn on, tap to cycle through the patterns and press and hold to turn off sort of toy. It’s really easy to understand and use, making it perfect for first-time vibrator users.

Motley Crue Too Fast For Love BulletIt features ten functions as the title suggests, with three speeds and seven patterns. I have said it once and I’ll say it a thousand times, patterns generally don’t do it for me. I tend to find them distracting, off-putting and sometimes even irritating. I don’t think they bring me close to an orgasm at all, but for those that do enjoy these settings, there are a nice variety of different functions available on this bullet vibrator. It has everything from rollercoaster (up and down between varying intensities) to fast-paced buzzing, slow pulsations and the stop and start type vibrations that drive me crazy in all the wrong ways.

The three speeds are low, medium and high as you may have guessed and I have to say they’re certainly not the weakest I’ve felt. I’ve felt better from toys powered by the same battery, but I’ve also felt much worse. I actually think that this bullet is quite feisty considering the size of it and its power source. The low-speed didn’t do anything for me or my partner, but we can make use of the medium and high speeds. The vibrations are on the buzzy spectrum, which wasn’t surprising considering it’s battery-powered, but I wouldn’t class them as the numbing/desensitising type.

I added a small amount of water-based lubricant to the tapered tip and a little to myself, then placed the bullet against my clitoris and let the vibrations begin. After exploring unsuccessfully with the lower settings, I placed it on high and lay back. I found that the pinpoint precision of the vibrations made my clitoris feel extra sensitive, which made it more susceptive to something stronger later on in the session. I didn’t find those vibrations strong enough to bring me to orgasm, but it probably would be powerful enough for those who aren’t power queens. If I’d had this toy a year ago, I would have been able to, but I simply need more power to orgasm now.

Motley Crue Too Fast For Love BulletEven though I can’t orgasm with this, I’m not left disappointed with a useless toy as it’s suitable to use on my partner. I know he’ll happily get much more use from this than I would. The stimulation from this bullet is very similar, if not exactly the same, as the stimulation from the Motörhead Ace of Spaces Bullet and that is one of his favourites. It can be used against his nipples, glans, perineum, inner thighs and other sensitive areas. He likes the design as it’s male/couple-friendly and he’s a big fan of Mötley Crue, so it really worked out well.

He does not require as much power as I do to induce or quicken his orgasm, so toys like this that don’t do it for me are perfect for him. He seems to prefer buzzy vibrations over rumbly at the moment, as rumbly feels a little bit too intense for him, but he’s quite new to vibration, so this might change over time. He is quickly growing a collection of bullet vibrators that are a no-go for me which just shows that these are versatile toys and aren’t limited to those who have a clitoris.

In terms of noise, the Too Fast For Love vibrator is not the quietest, but with it being rock-inspired, I wasn’t expecting it to be. It has the standard noise level you’d expect from a battery-operated toy like this, but it’s worth noting that a closed-door and background noise can easily drown out the buzzing sound.

Motley Crue Too Fast For Love BulletOverall, I like this vibrator as it has plenty of good features such as design, build quality and ease of use. It’s petite, so easy to store and travel with and waterproof for easy clean-up. It doesn’t really have any downsides other than it not being strong enough for me, but as I can use it on my partner or he can use it on himself, we will still be getting a fair amount of use out of this. I would recommend it to those who don’t need intense power to orgasm or don’t mind buzzy vibrations. It’s not just for vulva-owning people, so I’d recommend the guys give this a chance too.
