I’m always happy to try new things in the bedroom and when I came across the nipple and clitoral section of Lovehoney a few months ago, I decided that I should get some of these suckers and see what the fuss was all about. After about 15 weeks of use, I’m starting to crave something more intense, so it seems that this mission was a complete success. I’ve even started using nipple clamps regularly following this experience, which is a category of toy I never thought I’d be interested in.
The suckers arrived in a small, sleek, black and red box. It’s classic, simple and understated packaging as one would expect from this particular collection. The back reads some information about the product, instructions for use and cleaning directions. Inside, a shiny foil packet stores the suckers. I personally wish a storage pouch had been included as this would have been handy for safe storage and protection from cat hair and lint.
So, they are made from a matte, silky silicone that feels gorgeously luxurious to the touch. I opted for this pair for my introduction to suckers as these felt less intimidating than some of the rubber and plastic options. I have read reviews on some of the cheaper suckers that have mentioned the material being tougher to squeeze and more uncomfortable to wear. I’ve also read a couple of horror stories about uneven, rough edges cutting into the skin. Thankfully, there is none of that with silicone.
A great thing about the appearance of these suckers is the colour. I feel that black is really gender neutral, so males, females and those who identify as other/in-between will feel more welcome to use them. It doesn’t feel as though it’s a product that’s limited to women only. The Fifty Shades branding is very minimal too, which means that these might even be a viable option for avid haters of the series. I barely even notice the branding until I’m up close to them, which let’s be honest, is not very often as they’re usually on my nipples and I’m not that flexible.
I decided to test them out on the back of my hand first. I wanted to see how easy they were to use and how intense the feeling of suction was. A quick squeeze and release of the bulb provides instant results. It’s not comparable to the Womanizer, but I quite liked it. I decided that I’d go ahead and place them on their desired location next. I applied a small amount of water-based lubricant to the rims for comfort and placed them into position.
I thought that I’d just want gentle, subtle stimulation but I quickly found myself squeezing the bulb harder and craving those ‘oh, my’ moments. I love the intensity that they can get up to and I think they provide more than enough sensation for first-time players. Once they have been removed, they leave the nipples feeling sensitive and erect. This is perfect for following up with a pair of clamps as this makes putting them on a whole lot easier.
These suckers can be used during solo time or couples play, depending on the type of session that is taking place. If I want to use these alone, I tend to so whilst using a dildo of some description, as I find the extra sensation up top makes me more aroused, which makes penetration more enjoyable. If I’m using them with my partner, it’s generally before clamps are introduced.
Overall, I’m glad that I tried these out. I was truly surprised by how great the sensations felt and I’m looking forward to getting some more intense varieties in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend these to anybody who is looking for some high-quality, body-safe and interesting nipple toys to experiment with.
