Review: Tracey Cox Supersex Silicone Twin Cock Ring

The Tracey Cox Supersex Silicone Twin Cock Ring is not a product that we would have purchased ourselves, but we received it as a free gift recently from Lovehoney and decided to try it out. This is not the first cock ring we’ve used, and it won’t be the last, but we don’t tend to use them on a very regular basis. The reason being that we haven’t found one that works amazingly well for us yet, especially one that vibrates. The ones we’ve used in the past have either been too weak for me, couldn’t make constant contact with my clitoris or were buzzy and off-putting to my partner. In this case, one of those things unfortunately applied.

Tracey Cox Supersex Silicone Twin Cock RingIt’s packaged with the same presentation and colour scheme as the rest of the Supersex collection. A black and pink cardboard sleeve with a picture of a couple on the front with product information and directions for use on the back. There’s a viewing window in the front and the cock ring is packed inside some plastic casing. This packaging is not tacky in any way so would be a great choice for beginners and couples who are quite reserved when it comes to sex toys.

The twin ring is made up of non-toxic, body-safe silicone and the bullet made from a smooth plastic. Both materials are high-quality and feel great. The silicone has quite a bit of drag to it, as one would expect, so double up on the water-based lube to remove any drag and make the fit more comfortable. It also attracts a fair amount of lint, so be sure to give it a quick rinse before each use. It’s fully waterproof so you can clean with sex toy cleaner and water after use but I tend to remove the bullet and just wipe that down separately.

Tracey Cox Supersex Silicone Twin Cock RingIn terms of fit, I was quite apprehensive. It looked pretty snug from where I stood and I thought there was the potential for it to be too tight. My partner has just above average girth (a little over 6 inches) and found that the cock ring could be slid on with a huge dollop of lube, but it pinched at the skin and caused him some discomfort. He said that it wasn’t uncomfortable enough for him to want to cease testing, but he didn’t want to wear it for too long. The larger, outer ring that’s worn around the testicles was a better fit and he had no complaints about this.

I took the cap off the bullet and inserted the required AAA battery, before getting into the comfortable and traditional missionary position. I unfortunately have trouble with female on top positions and can’t do them without excruciating pain, so we thought missionary would our best bet at getting the vibrator to make contact with my clitoris. We begun having sex and all was feeling pleasant, so I decided to turn on the vibrations. I was initially taken back by the amount of power as I was not expecting it. It’s only a single speed toy, but it’s not half bad. It does feel as buzzy as a swarm of bees though.

He grinded himself against my as the packaging suggested, but found that the bullet kept hitting the area above my clitoris rather than on or surround it. This made the vibrations essentially useless to me. If the bullet couldn’t even touch my clitoris there was no chance of it making constant contact or providing any sort of stimulation. It’s impossible for the bullet to make friends with the clitoris with any other movements i.e thrusting, so this cock ring won’t get anymore use from us. We can however remove the gullet and use that on its own.

Tracey Cox Supersex Silicone Twin Cock RingIt’s not really suited to me, but my partner gets enjoyment from it. He has experimented with it pressed against his glans, nipples and also traced up and down his shaft. He likes it best when it’s placed with some pressure against his glans. He feels that this brings him to orgasm much faster during a handjob or masturbation session. The strength is ideal for him as he’s someone who doesn’t need a shitload of power or intense, rumbly vibrations.

Overall, I think this is a good beginners cock ring, but best suited to those with average girth (5.5 inches or less). It is too tight and restrictive for my partner who’s just over and having him in discomfort kills the mood for both of us. It’s more likely to hit the clitoris of those who have more distance between their opening and that spot too, as I have little distance between the two and it sat too high on me. Tracey Cox’s Supersex Silicone Twin Love Ring is also a little bit loud, but as most battery-operated buzzes are, I wasn’t expecting anything less. It can be easily drowned out with a duvet or background music so I wouldn’t say that it’s unsuitable for those who need discretion. It might not be right for us, but I can see it working for lots of other people.
