I was so excited when I noticed that Just4Play stocked the Sliquid Organics O Arousal Gel. I’d been wanting to try this product out for a while, but I couldn’t find it at any of my usual retailers. I messaged them through Twitter thanking them for stocking the product, and I was planning to buy several of the 5ml sachets, when the lovely Michelle messaged back and offered me the 30ml bottle in exchange for my honest review. As an avid lover of enhancing gels/balms and Sliquid, how could I refuse?
My package was sent out quickly and discreetly, with full tracking information. I’d feel comfortable recommending their site and services to you, as everything is as advertised and they have a huge range of products, including a great variety of Sliquid items. When I opened the plain delivery box, I discovered Michelle had kindly included some Fetish Fantasy Silk Rope with my Arousal Gel, which was really nice of her. The gel was shrink-wrapped to ensure it hadn’t been opened, used or tampered with prior to its arrival.
One of the best things about Sliquid in my opinion, is that their products are cruelty free and natural. There’s no animal testing or ingredients involved, making them completely vegan friendly. This product contains no parabens or glycerin/glycerine, which is always a bonus and something I like to encourage. Here’s a full ingredients list for those who are interested; Aqua, Plant Cellulose (from Cotton), Aloe Barbadensis*, Natural Tocopherols* (Vitamin E), Cyamopsis (Guar Gum), Peppermint Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Menthol, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid. Includes certified organic extracts of Alfafa, Hibiscus, Green Tea & Sunflower.
It’s very straight forward to use, simply pump once onto your finger tips or your favourite toy and massage around the clitoris and other sensitive areas. One pump should be enough as you get a fairly decent amount of product per pump and you don’t need much to get the desired affects. I found this product takes longer to kick in than other products of this nature that I’ve tried, but once it does, it feels like a natural extension of arousal, rather than forced sensitivity. It takes around 3-5 minutes to become noticeable, starting off like a gust of fresh air to my vulva and clitoral hood, before warming up to body temperature and making my intimate areas feel more sensitive and reactive to stimulation. I found it lasted for a decent amount of time before needing to reapply (around 20-30 minutes), but I would like it if it would last a little while longer.
I think the Sliquid Organics O Arousal Gel has a great consistency, it’s the perfect medium between thick and thin, it isn’t runny, but it isn’t so thick that it becomes gloopy either. I find it absorbs into the skin nicely, rather than drying and creating a sticky, crusty mess like other products have done to me in the past.
The only other thing I need to mention, is smell. I could pick up on the scent of menthol straightaway, but I don’t think it’s too overpowering or strong as it’s dulled by some gentle undertones of a ‘by the sea’ type scent, which I actually found quite calming.
In conclusion, products like this come down to personal preference and what works for some, may not work for others. This product did work for me, although I’d have liked it to last a little longer. If you’ve had bad irritations to products like this in the past or aren’t sure what to think of them, then I’d recommend giving this one a go, as the sensations are subtle compared to others I’ve tried, as well as being free from nasties like parabens. The only people I wouldn’t recommend this product to, are those who dislike products containing menthol.
I received the Sliquid Organics Arousal Gel from Just4Play in exchange for my honest review. This business seems to have closed down since this review was posted. You can however still buy the Organics Arousal Gel ($14/£10.30) at Peepshow Toys.
