Review: Bondage Boutique Raspberry Pleasure Leather Ankle Cuffs

Bondage Boutique Raspberry Pleasure Leather Ankle CuffsBefore the Bondage Boutique Raspberry Pleasure Leather Ankle Cuffs appeared at Lovehoney, I had never actually tried ankle specific cuffs on myself. I have used them on my partner many times, but we’ve never used them on me as I’ve tried numerous (smaller) wrist cuffs that have been far too big on them and thought that cuffs actually designed for the ankles would be even bigger.

They are, but this particular pair have a twelve-hole buckle fastening and can fit ankles from 8.5 inches in circumference through to 14 inches, which made me think this would be a good pair to take a chance on.

Like all Bondage Boutique products, these ankle cuffs arrived in simplistic packaging. Just a simple, plastic packet with a sticker on the front. No other packaging is particularly necessary, but I do think it would be nice for lovely items such as these.

Upon opening the packet, I quickly picked up on the scent of raw leather, which is something that I love. That smell is still lingering after almost a month of owning and using them too. The quality of these ankle cuffs is great. The leather is of a high standard and feels delightfully smooth to the touch. I wasn’t necessarily expecting this considering the price point, but they’re just as luxurious as some of the more high-end leather products that I own. They are also extremely sturdy and durable, so I can see them lasting many years with proper care and storage.

In terms of fit, it turns out that I was right about these being the right pair, as they actually fit me very well. I do need to fasten them through the twelfth hole to get the best, most comfortable fit possible, and then I would still not describe them as skin-tight on me at that width. My ankles are an inch and half below the suggested circumference of these cuffs, but that minimum width seems to fit me tightly enough that the cuffs don’t move out of position, therefore making them fit for purpose.

Bondage Boutique Raspberry Pleasure Leather Ankle CuffsMy partner has much wider ankles than I do, verging on the higher end of the circumference that these ankle cuffs are suggested to fit, but he says that he feels comfortable wearing these cuffs and they don’t dig into his skin when fastened through the third or fourth hole. I’m not quite sure that raspberry pink is his colour though, so we’ll probably be looking at getting him some new cuffs of his own. Maybe even the same cuffs in the other shade available, which is red. We’ll see.

My favourite thing about these cuffs is the double-ended quick-release clip that attaches them together, as it can be removed from both, or either end, depending on the circumstances. I love this because it’s great for emergency situations where you need to get up or move quickly, as the clip can be completely removed, leaving you to move freely without having to waste precious time taking the cuffs off. I think this feature makes these cuffs extremely versatile as the ankles can be separated for other restraints to be attached to the D-rings.

Overall, I think that these ankle cuffs are great. I simply love the quality, the fit and the adjustability. They are incredibly comfortable to wear and I can see them being useful to people with all levels of experience, although the quick release clip would make these cuffs a great introduction for those who are new/cautious with restraints.

I received the now discontinued  Bondage Boutique Raspberry Pleasure Leather Ankle Cuffs (£19.99) from Lovehoney in exchange for my review. Thank you! Affiliate links have been used within this post.

Review: Womanizer W100

A few months ago, I finally managed to get my hands on the Womanizer W500 and I really enjoyed the experience, so when I saw the W100 on sale at Lovehoney, I decided I just had to get the original too. Admittedly, I still prefer my beloved Satisfyer Pro 2 to both of these Womanizers, but I’m super excited to see what both brands bring out next.

Womanizer W100

Womanizer W100

Womanizer W100

Womanizer W100

I was reasonably happy with the presentation upon arrival as the box was much cleaner than I thought it would be. It’s classic and understated (unlike the toy) and features just a few simple images of the product and samples of the design that I chose. Inside the box, I found a lovely branded storage case alongside a user manual. Inside the case was the Womanizer itself, the charging cable, an adapter and a spare silicone head.

I opted for the black tattoo pattern as it’s totally different to anything that I have in my collection and it’s one of the least offensive designs available in my opinion. I think this is probably one of the best designs that Womanizer currently offer the W100 in, but I prefer the mint lace pattern of my W500 and the clean appearance of the white Pro40 to this style. I have to admit that I’m still not a big fan of the sparkly gemstone button that the original Womanizers have, but I find it easier to use on the W100 as it’s not so stiff.

Womanizer W100Before I could get stuck in, a full charge was required. I didn’t need the included adapter, so I just plugged the USB into the charging port and opened up the small silicone flap on the base of the toy to insert the jack. A light flashes near the charging port to indicate that the charge is taking place and this becomes steady once the charge has completed. The manual recommends four hours of charge for a complete refresh, which should give around ninety minutes of playtime, depending on the intensity it’s being used on.

Out of the two Womanizers that I currently own, I prefer the shape of this one, especially when I wish to use it for longer periods of time. I don’t have to stretch my hand around such a wide surface and I think the button placement is better on the original. It has two buttons, a power button and the gemstone button that I briefly mentioned earlier. The power button obviously turns the suction on, but it also reverts back to the lowest intensity if pressed again during use. It turns off by being pressed and held for a few seconds. The gemstone button is in charge of cycling through the available functions, of which there are six.

Womanizer W100The Womanizer has grabbed the attention of many, intriguing sex toy enthusiasts worldwide, but it’s not going to be suitable for everyone. I personally believe that this toy is best suited to those who enjoy direct/pin-point clitoral stimulation. If you’re a person who prefers broader stimulation, then I think you might find a toy such as this to be too intense, even on the lower settings. I like a bit of both, but I prefer intense, direct contact so a toy like this is ideal for me.

You can get two different sized heads for the Womanizer, regular or XL and I personally prefer the regular as I’ve found this makes the stimulation extremely precise. The larger heads are useful on the occasions where I don’t want to orgasm quite so quickly or I want to experiment with multiple orgasms. The larger head takes away some of the intensity, so it’s not my head of choice, but it is nice on those occasions where I want to spend more time with the Womanizer. The smaller head tends to make me feel more sensitive after one orgasm, to the point where a second orgasm could actually be painful, but this doesn’t happen with the larger size, which is why it’s useful for longer use.

Womanizer W100

Once I’ve found the perfect position around the clitoris, I can just lay back and let the Womanizer take over. I apply a small amount of water-based lubricant to the silicone nozzle beforehand as this makes use more comfortable. There are six settings ranging from light and gentle to an intense suction, but I only really use settings four through six. I am a power queen and I’ve learned that the W100’s highest setting is not always enough for me.

I prefer the W500 to the original simply because of the two extra settings, although the shape and control panel are much better on this one. If the things I liked about both of the Womanizers were combined into one toy, then I think it would seriously give the Satisfyer a run for its money. It would also have to be waterproof, which neither of these models are. The silicone heads can be removed and cleaned with toy cleaner and water, but the rest is not water-friendly so it’s best to use antibacterial wipes on the body.

Womanizer W100

In terms of noise, the Womanizer is not a particularly quiet toy, but the sound does dissipate once the toy makes contact with the skin. A closed-door is generally enough to cover the sound once it’s made contact, but once it’s taken away then the noise can be picked up on from outside the room. I usually use this toy when I have the house to myself or simply turn the toy off before removing it from the skin to avoid being heard. Background music may help out, so I wouldn’t completely rule it out for those who need discretion.

Overall, I think the Womanizer W100 is a wonderful device. I would highly recommend it to those who like direct clitoral contact, cooling sensations and fast orgasms. It can take some getting used to, but the orgasms from this toy are results I can’t reach with a regular vibrator. If it had the power of the W500, then I think this would be the winner for me because it has a better shape, easier control panel and it comes with a case, which the more expensive, wider version does not.

Review: Annabelle Knight Whoosh! Rocket Vibrator

If Annabelle Knight Whoosh! Rocket Vibratoryou’re a customer of Lovehoney, then you might have noticed that the majority of product pages feature a video which shows how the product works. Annabelle Knight is often the woman presenting these videos and many would say she’s something of an expert in the sex and relationships field. She even has her own toy range which is available exclusively at Lovehoney and this review is covering the latest addition, the Whoosh! Rocket.

The first thing I have to mention is props for the packaging. I am really impressed with the way that the packaging for her range has been designed. It’s  non-intimidating, friendly and simply beautiful. The image on the front was illustrated based on an actual photo of Annabelle and this process can be seen during the first series of Frisky Business. Inside the box, the vibrator, the four separate heads and a small information leaflet are nicely stored in a plastic case.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this product, especially as other products like this one can feel quite cheap, but this one has a lovely smooth surface. It is made entirely from ABS plastic, which is of course rigid, sturdy and soft to the touch. It has no drag to it whatsoever which makes it extremely comfortable to hold, even for longer periods of time. As the Whoosh! is not designed for internal use, the head of the vibrator doesn’t have to be lubricated, but if you wish to do so for additional comfort, then water-based is what you’ll need. In regards to cleaning, this toy is only splash proof, so it cannot be submerged in water but a quick rinse (providing the cap is on tightly) should be fine. I personally prefer to use toy cleaner and a damp cloth, with an old toothbrush to remove fluids from the textured heads.

Annabelle Knight Whoosh! Rocket Vibrator

I was pleased to discover that the battery compartment of this vibrator is easy to open as I’m not the strongest of people and I really struggled with the compartment on the version by Lovehoney Basics. That it takes is a gentle twist to reveal the compartment, where one double A battery is then placed inside. There is a piece of paper directing the placement of the battery inside, which I think is always a helpful touch. Once it has been placed correctly, screw the base back on firmly to begin.

This pocket rocket is operated via a single button on the base, so it’s really easy to understand and use. A quick tap of this button turns the toy on, starting the vibrations. Each further tap will cycle through the available functions, where it will then turn itself off once it has reached the end of the cycle. There is unfortunately no other turn off feature on this toy such as pressing and holding for a few seconds, which is one of my only criticisms.

I decided to try this out with just the metal prongs to begin with whilst I got a feel for the type and strength of the vibrations. I applied a small amount of water-based lubricant to the tips and placed the toy against my clitoris with a reasonable amount of pressure. I didn’t think much of the first vibration setting, because I couldn’t really feel anything, but the second was more noticeable and the third was a definite improvement. I would say that the second speed verges on being rumbly, which I wasn’t expecting from the toy considering the battery source and price point. I can’t help but enjoy this setting, despite it not being powerful enough for me to orgasm with. The third vibration is more on the buzzy side, but it does have the power increase that I need to potentially orgasm with.

I then decided to try out the four heads and out of these, I have two prominent favourites. The first is the completely smooth, rounded head and the second is the head with the circle of spikes. I like the rounded head primarily when using the third speed as the barrier of protection seems to hold back some of the buzziness coming from the vibrations. I have found myself feeling numb and starting to lose sensitivity if I’m just using the metal prongs, so the rounded head is perfect for this speed. I use it during sex to prevent a clitoral orgasm happening too soon without completely denying myself of the opportunity to have one.

The circled spiked head is great for providing pinpoint precision, which is generally my preference with clitoral vibrators. I like how well the vibrations travel through the head and again, the buzziness is held back thanks to the small barrier. I use this head on the vibrator during solo time for a quick, reliable orgasm. This is the head that I go to if I’m looking for an orgasm with this toy as I can get there in just over five minutes, whereas the other heads or metal prongs can take around 15-20.

Alongside the three speeds, the Whoosh! also has four patterns. None of the patterns did anything for me, but I’m not a huge fan of these functions at the best of times. I’d class these settings as typical for the price point, but a nice variety for those who do enjoy these types of functions. It has fast-paced buzzing, slow buzzing and two different pulsations. These settings are louder than the constant vibrations, but not by much. A closed-door can easily disguise the sound that this vibrator makes, so it’s great for those who need discretion and want to take this toy travelling.

Annabelle Knight Whoosh! Rocket Vibrator

Overall, I think this would be a fantastic starting point for those who are new to vibrations, are looking for something versatile or simply want an inexpensive toy to travel with. It’s a basic vibe, but I can see it being an essential in a beginners kit. It’s non-intimidating, couple-friendly and easy to understand. A toy like this is a great way to begin the discovery of what your body likes and dislikes. I’d be happy to recommend it as it’s well-made and has a decent level of strength, although I’d advise you to be aware of the buzziness if this is something you’re not fond of.

Review: Happy Rabbit 5 Function Finger Vibrator

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I offered to test the Happy Rabbit Finger because I haven’t had the best experiences with finger vibrators in the past. I mean, there was this BASICS Jelly Ring, which was weak and toxic and then there was the Fifty Shades Secret Touching Ring which left me equally unimpressed, so I didn’t have the highest hopes that this would be powerful, until I saw it was a new addition to the Happy Rabbit range.

The packaging is standard for the Happy Rabbit range, a classic pink and white box with the name of the product on one side and a picture on the other, with the key features listed on the side. Inside this box I found the finger vibrator inside some plastic casing along with a branded storage pouch and the USB charging cable. Lovehoney usually include an information leaflet with their own-brand toys, but there wasn’t one included in this box, although I assume this is because I received it prior to launch and there would usually be one.

Happy Rabbit Finger

Happy Rabbit Finger

The first thing I noticed about the Happy Rabbit Finger was how well-made it is. I have been pleased with all three products I have from this range in regards to the extremely smooth, luxurious to the touch silicone. It’s non-toxic, non-porous and free from phthalates and latex so it’s completely body-safe. It is a lint magnet as I expected, but it is splashproof so the lint can be removed with a quick rinse. The Happy Rabbit Finger has no obvious seams other than a small one just below the ears, but it’s not noticeable unless running a finger across it. I found no imperfections or flaws within the build-quality, which gave me the impression that this is a luxury product.

It’s extremely petite with a length of just 3.75 inches and a circumference of 4.5 inches, which is around the same size as my partners index finger, which is coincidentally the finger that this toy fits best. He did mention that it pinched at his skin slightly, so we think that the finger loop should have been stretchier, but it wasn’t uncomfortable or tight enough that he wanted to stop using it. It’s not as flexible as other finger rings we’ve tried, but that’s probably due to the body-safe material it’s made out of rather than a fault with the product.

To get started, plug the USB into your chosen port and insert the jack into the small, silicone hole in the base of the toy, which is located next to the power button. A red light will begin to flash to indicate charge and this turns to a steady light once it is full of life and ready to go. The charging is a simple process, but a little time-consuming. It took around two hours to be ready for use and I was expecting a shorter charge time for something so small!

The Happy Rabbit Finger is operated via a single button, which is located on the base of the toy. It is coated with silicone just like the charging port, which blends in with the toy nicely but makes it hard to find, particularly in the dark. I have to look quite closely to locate the button or fumble around for a while until I find it. Once I have found it, I tend to keep mine (or my partner’s) hand firmly in place, so the function can be changed easily without having to stop and look at it, which would be off-putting. Pressing and holding the button will turn the toy on and off and tapping will cycle through the five available function which includes three steady speeds and two patterns.

Happy Rabbit FingerI have used the Happy Rabbit Finger alone and with my partner, coming the conclusion that I would rather use it during couples play. I think it’s more of a fun couples toy than something I’d bring to a masturbation session. My partner is happy to wear this and control it, despite the minor pinching I mentioned earlier he said it felt comfortable to wear and once he’d gotten used to the positioning of the button it was easy for him to operate.

We discovered two main ways to use this toy on me, one involves placing a finger through the loop and nestling the rabbit ears around the clitoris and the other involves turning the toy upside down and resting the nose of the rabbit onto the clitoris and leave the ears to do some gentle tickling of the vulva. I have a preference of the second method as I feel that the vibrations are stronger in the rabbit’s face. The vibrations don’t seem to carry right through to the tip of the ears and they become quite subtle about 3/4 of the way up, which means they’re not strong enough to do anything for me. Resting the nose of the Happy Rabbit Finger on my clitoris means I get a better feel for the vibrations as-well as more direct stimulation.

We later found out that this toy is suitable for use on my partner too, either by letting the ears tickle the base of his penis or using it against his glans. He preferred the second method as he said the placement felt better and provided some additional stimulation to a handjob/masturbation session.

Happy Rabbit Finger

In our experience, all three speeds of this toy seem to be on the buzzy spectrum, but the first one is baseline rumbly despite being the least powerful. I don’t find the settings strong enough for me to orgasm with, but it’s certainly a fun little toy to use nonetheless. My partner however, thinks that this vibrator aided his experiences and helped him to orgasm faster, so I believe the speeds will be great for those who don’t mind surface-level stimulation. Neither of us get along with the patterns, but they are nice extras for people who do.

It’s quiet even when it’s on the highest setting, so I’d happily recommend this finger vibrator to those who are looking for discretion. It cannot be heard from the next room and I didn’t even feel the need to play background noise to cover the sound. A duvet cover is enough to drown out the buzzing if you’re extra conscious about noise.

Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t need deep, rumbly vibrations to orgasm or are simply looking for something fun and a little bit different to bring to their bedroom. It would also be ideal for weekends away as it’s so petite and easy to store. It’s quiet, fabulous quality and easy to use once you get used to the positioning of the button. It might not be strong enough for me, but it comes highly recommended from my partner who doesn’t need as much power. I definitely think it’s one of the best vibrators in this category at the moment!

I received the Happy Rabbit Finger from Lovehoney in exchange for my honest review. Thank you! It has since been discontinued but the full-sized rabbit is still available for purchase. Affiliate links have been used within this post.

Quick Review: Just Glide Womanizer Lubricant

Just Glide Womanizer LubricantI received a bottle of this Just Glide Womanizer Lubricant with the Womanizer Pro W500 I was sent to review and up until it arrived, I had no idea it even existed. I currently can’t find it for sale anywhere, but I’m hoping that some stores will pick it up soon as it’s actually a pretty great lubricant. If you want to find out exactly what makes this product great then read on, or you can just jump to the quick review for the facts.

The bottle was sealed with plastic for full assurance that it wasn’t tampered with prior to use, which I liked. I also liked that this lubricant features a pump nozzle, as this is my preferred method of dispensing. A pump ensures that I get the perfect amount of product every time and avoid waste.

I like to carry out a patch test before I apply a new a new lubricant due to my sensitive skin and past reactions. I’m pleased to report after leaving a small amount of lubricant to my skin for a while, I had no reaction whatsoever. There are no ingredients in this lubricant that could irritate me such as glycerine or propylene glycol and to make this product even better, there are no parabens either.

The first thing I noticed about this lubricant was the scent. It smells like a mix between chemicals and lemonade, which is a really strange combination. I don’t actually mind the scent of it, although it’s not the nicest smelling lubricant I’ve ever used. It’s not overpowering in the slightest, in fact it’s only noticeable when you’re an inch or two away from it. The second thing I noticed was the consistency. It comes out quite thick, although starts to run slightly if left unattended. It’s not so thick that it feels tacky, clumpy or greasy, but it’s not so thin that it’s just water. I was surprised at how long it lasts, I can easily go without reapplying for at least thirty minutes, but by then I’ve generally been long finished with the Womanizer.

This product can be used for sex or toys other than the Womanizer, but my preference is to use it with the product it was designed to be used with. A small application around the silicone head of either Womanizer is enough to make use more comfortable and reduce any friction between the head and my clitoris. It also does the same for the Femme Fatale and the Satisfyer.

Overall, I like the Just Glide Womanizer Lubricant. It’s a good quality product that contains no nasty chemicals, is safe for use with sensitive skin and has good consistency and texture. It’s long-lasting for a water-based lubricant and seems to be inexpensive. I can’t see why it isn’t more readily available.
