Review: Rocks Off Unihorn Clitoral Vibrator

Rocks Off are best known for their extremely popular bullet vibrators. Every sex toy shop that I’ve ever visited has stocked at least one version of them and lots of people recommend them to first time toy users, couples and people who ask for something small and non-intimidating. How could they continue to grow in this area? Branch out from basic bullet shapes and simple colour schemes to release exciting new designs like the Unihorn. This cute little clitoral vibrator has ombré shading that features four or five bright colours and it’s also unsurprisingly shaped like a unicorn horn. It’s an absolute treat on the eyes but was it a treat for my clitoris? Let’s find out!

Rocks Off Unihorn Clitoral VibratorIt was presented in usual Rocks Off fashion, just a classic black box with a cut-out viewing window that shows off the sparkly surface of the Unihorn. There’s a gold banner that runs across the bottom of the box that reads the product name and brand logo whilst the back houses some basic product information and a few of the key features.

Inside the box, the vibrator rests within two pieces of plastic casing that are secured together to keep the toy protected. The required triple A battery comes included and inserted so the toy can be used almost instantly. Just remove the white paper disc beforehand.

Made from abs plastic, the Unihorn is non-toxic, non-porous and completely body-safe. It’s completely rigid so can make the sensations feel more aggressive than a silicone surface would. It is compatible with water based lubricants but don’t go overboard on the slippery stuff as this can make the toy hard to hold on to in my experience. This mini vibrator is fully waterproof so it can be sprayed with toy cleaner and rinsed or cleaned in soapy warm water. It doesn’t attract lint at all and is fine to be stored with other body safe materials.

There’s just one button on this vibrator and its located on the cap. Press it once to turn on, continue to press to cycle through the ten functions and press and hold for a couple of seconds to turn off. It has three speeds and seven patterns to choose from. I wasn’t sure how I would get along with them as I’ve been spoilt with mains-powered vibrations from the Doxy and rechargeable rumbles from the likes of the Tango but my experience with the Unihorn was primarily positive.

As I have said a thousand times on this blog, patterned vibrations aren’t my thing. We have never particularly clicked as I find them distracting, frustrating and off-putting so this isn’t a criticism of the toy, it’s just a matter of personal preference. They’ve never got me close to an orgasm at all but for people who do like these settings, there are a nice variety of different options to choose from. It has some faster pulsations and some slower ones so there should be something suitable for every mood and need.

Rocks Off Unihorn Clitoral VibratorOf the ten settings, the highest speed is my favourite. It is as buzzy as I expected it to be but strangely I didn’t hate this. The vibrations are not overly numbing or high-pitched so they can bring me to orgasm although those climaxes aren’t the strongest I’ve ever experienced. I have managed to hit the point of release and satisfaction several times so I could classify this toy as reliable although I believe it works better for my partner than it does for me.

With a small amount of water-based lubricant, the tapered tip is comfortable to place against the clitoris. I noticed that the pinpoint precision made the clitoral area feel extra sensitive which made me more susceptive to stronger toys that I mentioned above later on in the session. I couldn’t orgasm from using the tip but I discovered during my exploration that holding the vibrator upside down and pushing the shaft against the labia and clitoris felt great. Direct contact is usually the thing that gets me off the quickest but in the Unihorn’s case it was all about the wider spread sensations.

As for my partner, he doesn’t need as much power or precision as I do and often takes ownership of the vibrators that aren’t strong enough to please my clitoris. His orgasms can be induced with very little intensity so even the lower speeds felt pleasant to him. He prefers buzzy vibrations against his glans and shaft as he has found that rumbles are overwhelming for him at the moment so this little gem is ideal for him. It doesn’t make him feel too sensitive that he needs to push the vibrator away from himself but it doesn’t make him orgasm so quickly that he feels like his orgasm was wasted. It strikes the perfect balance for him and just goes to show that Rocks Off make versatile vibrators that aren’t limited to clitoris owning people.

Rocks Off Unihorn Clitoral Vibrator

Overall, I think this would be a great first vibrator. I also think it would be a suitable choice for people who don’t mind buzzy vibrations, don’t need power queen level vibes to get off and want something that’s quiet, unassuming and pretty. The Unihorn and I may not be inseparable lovers but I can appreciate it for what it is and it could bring me to orgasm if I ever needed it to. My partner has now taken possession of this toy as it worked brilliantly for him and he’d recommend other penis owners give it a go too.

Review: Mini Marvels Silicone Marvelous Massager

2017 has been another great year in the sex toy world. Demand for innovative creations has increased and a few companies have successfully delivered on that. There has been a lot of interesting releases over the past ten months but there was one particular collection that caught my attention. The collection I’m referring to was made by Cal Exotics and is named Mini Marvels. I haven’t had much experience with Cal Exotics overall but as one of the biggest companies in the industry, I hoped their award- winning Mini Marvels range would be as fantastic as reports claim. So when Peepshow Toys asked me if I’d like to review one, I happily agreed and opted for the Marvelous Massager. It had the most intriguing shape out of the available options and the gorgeous bright orange colouring simply sealed the deal.

The packaging for this collection is outstanding. It’s definitely suitable to give as a gift, whilst being secure enough to keep the toy safe and protected. It almost feels like it’s a shame to have to discard it. A yellow box with a very retro, vintage, pin-up style vibe turned up. It has an animated model on the front along with a viewing window and the product name. The box opens via the magnetic clip on the side to reveal the toy and charging cable behind a sheet of plastic. It lists some basic directions for use on the inside and has a rundown of features on the back. The only negative is the lack of storage bag.

Mini Marvels Marvelous Massager

Mini Marvels Marvelous MassagerMini Marvels Marvelous MassagerMini Marvels Marvelous Massager

It is made from a smooth premium silicone. This material is hypoallergenic, odourless, phthalate free, non-toxic and generally body-safe. It feels high-quality and soft with no rough edges or seams and it appears to be made well. It has some resistance to its surface as expected but a generous application of water based lubricant will remove this. It doesn’t attract as much lint as I anticipated but I’d still recommend rinsing it before each use. It’s fully waterproof so can be used in or out of water and cleaned up easily. I just use soapy water to clean it with and dry it with a lint free cloth.

Mini Marvels Marvelous Massager is USB rechargeable. It has a port located on the front in which the jack is inserted and a USB connector which goes into a laptop or computer. The control panel glows whilst the vibrator is charging and the light goes off when finished. I’d prefer a steady light to signify a full battery as sometimes I find myself wondering whether I could have accidentally disconnected it at some point and stopped the charge. That would be rather annoying if I thought it was full and it ran out of juice mid use. It only takes about an hour to charge and this gives up to thirty minutes of use on high and two hours on the lower speed.

The control panel consists of two buttons, an on/off button and a function button. There are unfortunately no up or down arrows so you can not go back a setting if you accidentally miss the one you wanted to use. You have to scroll back through all of the settings again. This can be frustrating but as there isn’t much space for a bigger control panel I’ll let it slide on this occasion. It also has a travel lock which is deactivated by pressing and holding the top button for two seconds. To reactivate repeat the process.

Mini Marvels Marvelous MassagerDesigned to be held between two fingers, the Marvelous Massager slides between the gap of the index and third finger snugly. It is surprisingly comfortable to hold, easy to use and stays in place so well that I can almost forget it’s there after a while. It’s a fun extension of the hand and is as petite as the brand name would suggest. Measuring in at just under three inches in total length and five and a half inches around. It’s smaller than a palm sized pebble which makes it a great on-the-go vibe to throw in a bag and travel with.

Offering up ten settings, there’s something for just about every mood and preference. The first three settings are constant speeds of varying intensities and the remaining seven settings are patterns. I don’t use any of the patterns as I think they’re off-putting. If you do enjoy them though here’s a basic run down of what’s available: wave of intense pulsation, fast pulsation waves, quick pulsing, very quick pulsing, up and down pulsation followed by a pause, slow stop and start pulsation followed by a quick wave and finally, a pulse followed by a few seconds of constant vibration.

Considering the petite dimensions of this vibrator, it has a lot of strength. I’m not sure how Cal Exotics managed to pack so much into its tiny interior but I’m not complaining. It is definitely powerful enough to get my partner off and it can also work for me on my sensitive days or occasions where I haven’t masturbated in a few days. The vibrations are primarily buzzy although the low speed is the exception to this. It’s not rumbly either but it rests comfortably somewhere between the two. I don’t mind the buzzing of this toy as it’s not numbing and surface level stimulation can be fun sometimes.

During use, I noticed it’s not something I’ve been reaching for during solo sessions. I think this is purely because when I want to get off on my own time I generally want something quick and reliable like the Tango or Womanizer. When I’m with my partner however I like to slow things down, take my sweet time and use toys that don’t get me off in less than three minutes. The Marvelous Massager is perfect for that because it doesn’t have the strength of the other toys I mentioned and doesn’t just force orgasms from me. It gives a build up followed by a relaxing, gratifying release. I have mostly used it during PIV to get some clitoral stimulation involved (I usually can’t orgasm from penetration alone) and it hasn’t got in the way at all.

Mini Marvels Marvelous MassagerMy partner decided he also wanted it to be used on him so we did some experimenting. If I placed it between my fingers whilst giving oral then I could run my vibrating hand up and down his shaft whilst working on the head to give him some additional stimulation to get worked up over. He has been known to orgasm much faster with the help of a vibrator so this unobtrusive designs works very well when incorporating into a hand or blowjob. It’s a lot easier to manouvere than a pebble or wand as it moves with my hand rather than my hand moving it.

Strangely enough, the Marvelous Massager can also be used during a massage. It doesn’t feel like a deep tissue massage like the Doxy Die Cast does but it can be used in awkward locations such as inner elbows, kneecaps, under the shoulders etc. This may not sound particularly steamy and sexy but a sex toy doesn’t always have to be. This one has a massaging multipurpose that’s lovely for having a relaxing night in with a partner. It’s nice and quiet so doesn’t disturb a chilled environment, wake up the neighbors or alert the people in the next room that a vibrators in use. We are very pleased with it and would happily recommend it to other couples who want something bright, colourful and interesting to add to their collection.

Review: Rainbow Pop! 6 Inch Silicone Dildo

Rainbow Pop! Silicone Dildo 6 InchAs soon as I saw this dildo, I knew I had to get it. I think it was online for maybe two hours before I gave in and ordered it, because you know, I didn’t want to be too keen. I love toys that aren’t just the typical, over-used pinks and purples, so what could be better suited to me than a rainbow dildo? The answer is nothing. Unless its made by Doxy, We-Vibe or Tantus. Or it has suction. Or its glass. Ok, I have a lot of toys that are suited to me and I’m obsessed with them all, but I hold a special place in my heart for colourful dildos.

The Rainbow Pop! arrived quickly and discreetly in a white cardboard box with a cut-out viewing window in the front. One side of the box shows off a picture of the toy whilst the other shows off the pride colours and the back lists some multilingual, basic care information. Inside the box, the dildo rested within a plastic tray. There’s nothing else included in the box, which is slightly disappointing as I had hoped for a storage bag considering the price.

It is made from a high-quality silicone, that has a firm core and a very minor amount of squish in the tip. This is important as it makes insertion easier. The material feels smooth and luxurious to the touch, but still has some drag, as you’d expect. A good quality water-based lubricant like Sliquid H20 will remove this and make use more comfortable. It attracts a crazy amount of lint so rinsing before each use is essential, even if it has been stored away. A thorough rinse and a spray of toy cleaner or soap after each use will keep it as fresh and clean as possible between uses.

As the core of the Rainbow Pop! is quite firm, I was not expecting it to be very flexible, so I was surprised when I experimented with it and managed to manipulate the tip into touching the base. It doesn’t flop around like a cheap, porous, jelly dildo would, but it does give you the opportunity to alter the angle of the toy should you need to.

Now, I have owned multiple suction cup dildos over the past year, with most disappointing me with their un-desirable amount of stick and willingness to cooperate. I think only a quarter of the suction cup dildos that I own are actually able to be used as such, but this dildo has happily joined that small percentage. Rainbow Pop!’s suction cup feels incredibly sturdy and reliable, with no chance of it flinging off the shower tiles mid-ride. It has to be removed from the surface by placing two fingers under the cup and it can’t just be pulled off the surface by the tip like some weaker toys can.

In use, I found this dildo to be a fantastic size. It’s slightly smaller than my other half, so it’s not intimidating to him and honestly, even if it was bigger, I doubt he’d be intimidated by something so colourful. I find this toy extremely useful to use to warm-up with before engaging in sex with him. It has an overall length of eight inches, but only six are insertable as the rest is just the balls and suction cup. Its girth is  a maximum of five inches around the widest part, which is filling without being overwhelmingly so. It doesn’t create too much of a stretching sensation which is good as I can often find this painful, rather than pleasurable.

I am typically speaking not a huge fan of realistic toys, but this one has very minimal detailing. It does have a realistic head and coronal ridge, but the very faint vein detailing on the shaft is barely noticeable and it cannot be felt during use or insertion. I thought from first glance and appearances that the coronal ridge might catch on my pubic bone upon insertion due to how well it’s defined, but so far, I have not had any such problems.

Rainbow Pop! 6 Inch Silicone DildoThe Rainbow Pop! feels great to thrust with, ride on or simply clench around to enjoy the girth. I can insert the full length of the shaft as it’s not quite long enough to hit my cervix, so use is comfortable and enjoyable. I seem to use this dildo more with my partner than I do alone, whether it’s him using it on me or dabbling in double penetration. I think this is because he is able to be more vigorous with it than I am and he seems to be able to hit the places that I can’t from his angle. If I’m using this dildo alone then I need to also be using a clitoral vibrator in order to orgasm, but if he’s in control then I can orgasm on most occasions.

Overall, I think the Rainbow Pop! is absolutely worth its retail price of £44.99. It’s extremely difficult to find high-quality silicone toys that are on the larger side, so they’re always going to be a little more expensive, but in my opinion, they’re so worth it. It’s going to last so much longer than something cheap and porous. It has been made wonderfully and I think it’s so aesthetically pleasing that I would honestly leave it out for decoration if I didn’t still live with family. The Rainbow Pop! is not just a toy for people in the LGBTQ community who are celebrating pride, it’s for its supporters too.

You can purchase the Colours Pleasures Pride Edition Rainbow Pop! 6 Inch ($44.99/£33.10) from Betty’s Toy Box. Affiliate links have been used within this post.

Review: Split Peaches Unicorn Horn Small

When I was a kid, I used to spend the weekends in bed, flicking through the Argos catalogue and ticking everything I wanted, now I do the same with the Split Peaches website. It all started when I first set sights on the Unicorn Horn, a unique toy that’s literally shaped like a Unicorn’s horn. This mesmerizing dildo is available in three different sizes, small, medium and large and comes in rainbow and white varieties. I chose the small rainbow horn, but I think I’ll be getting a medium at some point, possibly with their new awesome glowgasm feature.

Split Peaches Unicorn Horn and RivetorI absolutely love what Split Peaches do and they are a company I support whole heartedly. I think their customer service is absolutely fantastic and I’ve had nothing but pleasurable experiences when chatting to them via social media. I was kept updated from the second my order was placed and I knew when it was being moulded and I even got sent a photo of both toys I was receiving prior to them being packed. How cool is that?

I was expecting to have to wait a while as Split Peaches products are made in the US and I’m in the UK, but my package was with me within a week of placing the order and was discreet as promised. I found both of my toys wrapped inside Split Peaches tissue paper, which was a nice touch, and an envelope which contained a signed note from Andy (the owner), stickers and some temporary tattoos. Inside the tissue paper, the Unicorn Horn was inside a plastic tube (similar to Vixen packaging) with the brand name on one side.

I couldn’t wait to tear open the tube and have a feel of this majestic toy. It is made from a super high-quality silicone, which is hypoallergenic, non-toxic and free from phthalates. It’s easy to clean as all that’s necessary is a spray of toy cleaner and a rinse before and after each use. I had heard great things about the feel of Split Peaches silicone and those things that I heard were all true. I underestimated how soft and luxurious it would feel, but I was pleased to discover that it was of a wonderful standard, even though it did have some drag to it. I haven’t come across many silicone toys that don’t have drag, so this was not a downside, simply an excuse to get the Sliquid out!

Split Peaches Small Unicorn Horn 1I didn’t apply a huge amount of lubricant to this toy because I thought the measurements were quite manageable. It has six inches of length and 1.5″ of girth at the widest point, which is around the base. These measurements are well within my comfort range and I now see that I probably could have managed the medium, which is why I’m planning on getting one of those soon. I had also noted earlier that the Unicorn Horn has some squish and flexibility to it, which would help with insertion and comfort. It’s not so flexible that it will move without some encouragement, but the tip will touch the base if you want it to, which means it can be adjusted as much as you wish in any direction.

I was curious about how I’d manage to orgasm from this toy because it isn’t curved to specifically target the g-spot and it isn’t quite long enough or firm enough to hit my a-spot. I think the medium and large might work well for a-spot play, but I had to try something else with this small size. I decided that I’d try a simple in and out internal massage to see if the gentle, swirly texture would stimulate and warm-up my vaginal walls. I thought this would be the most effective method and I was pleased to discover the full length and girth was comfortable and the spiral texture, as minimal as it is, was lovely during warm up. It did massage the vaginal walls as I’d hoped, but it wasn’t overwhelming and couldn’t bring me to orgasm. It is great to use before The Rivetor though as that has a hell of lot going on.

I initially thought that g-spot stimulation was out of the question/not going to happen with the Unicorn Horn due to the straight shape and small width, but I was proved wrong when I accidentally pressed upon the g-spot whilst adjusting the toy. I wasn’t expecting it to be stimulated, but I decided to try some shallow thrusting just in case and found that it was actually pretty successful, as long as I angled the toy in a certain position and moved quite quickly. The toy isn’t quite firm enough to bring me to this kind of orgasm, but it still felt great nonetheless.

Split Peaches Small Unicorn Horn 2

I did find one way to orgasm with the Unicorn Horn and that was anally. It has a flared base so is completely safe for anal play and can even be used in a harness if that’s what you’re interested in. I don’t peg my partner so I haven’t tried this out, but it is compatible according to their site. I think the gradual increase of width in this toy makes this a fabulous contender for anal play, especially for a novice. I generally let my other half do the work with this toy and thrust it in and out at a medium pace, which doesn’t take long to leave me breathless.

Overall, I am so appreciative of toy makers who put safety first and use these fantastic quality materials, especially when they make them available in these amazing colour options and designs. Split Peaches are a company I support 100% and I’d highly recommend their small Unicorn Horn to those who are new to penetration (anal or vaginal), don’t like much girth or simply just want a unique, colourful toy in their collection. This size is not quite long/wide enough to be the cause of my vaginal orgasms, hence why I’m sizing up, but I still find it incredibly satisfying in use and it’s a dream to use anally. It has become one of my go-to toys for anal play and I can’t wait to get another to push my limits!

I received the Split Peaches Small Unicorn Horn ($43/£33.13) in exchange for my review. Affiliate links have been used within this post.
