Review: So Divine Let’s Go Crazy Rabbit Vibrator

During the past twelve months there have been several new brands and companies that have managed to earn a spot on my sex toy radar but the only company that managed to consistently maintain my interest was So Divine. My partner and I have been so impressed with the quality of the products we have reviewed from them so far and their mission to produce safe, affordable sex toys for all is one that resonates deeply with us. So Divine’s journey started with mini bullets, single speed bullets, classic vibrators and massaging wands that doubled as internal vibrators. It continued with a petite jewelled plug which was followed by two larger plugs and it now expands further with the release of two rabbit vibrators.

The Let’s Go Crazy arrived in standard So Divine style – a minimalistic purple and white box with a striking product photo on the front. It points out a few key features on the side of the box and instructions for use on the back. Inside, the rabbit can be found alongside a three pin plug, charging cable, storage pouch and the information leaflet that comes with all of their toys. It gives a quick introduction to the company and basic cleaning directions for the product.

Charging couldn’t be simpler. Place the USB end of the cable into the port on the plug and then place that into an available socket. Next, attach the magnetic connector to the corresponding points on the back of the vibrator. It also has the helpful option of removing the plug for on the go charging. A flashing power light indicates that it’s charging, a steady light indicates a full battery and no light indicates that it’s not connected to the power or turned on. Full charge takes about four hours and gives two hours of use.

Let’s Go Crazy is made from soft, luxurious silicone. This means it’s non-toxic, odourless, hypoallergenic and completely body safe. No latex or phthalates either. A hygienic, non-porous material is what I recommend opting for with all sex toys but it’s an absolute must-have if sharing the toy between partners. Silicone is the only safe material that doesn’t have to be rock hard. The kind that’s used on this vibrator is incredibly silky and smooth. It feels delightful. There’s not much resistance to the material but I’d still suggest a generous slathering of water based lube for comfortable use. To clean, rinse this waterproof device under warm water and slather it with soap.

Operating time! There are five buttons on the control panel and the central button is the one that turns the toy on and off. It goes into standby mode when the light is blue which means other buttons will then work. To start the vibrations, press the top button for a couple of seconds. You also switch through the ten functions via this button. To increase the intensity of the vibrations use the plus button and to decrease them use the minus. The final button on the bottom controls the heat function with a simple tap. You can change the settings whilst the heat is on as normal and the lights will flicker between blue and red alternatively.

If you like girthy rabbits or larger insertables, then this may not be the best choice for you. It has a maximum circumference of 4.25 inches which is rather slimline. I personally like both slim and thick toys so I wasn’t discouraged by the size at all and I feel that it would be a great choice for people who prefer smaller vibrators or simply want something non-intimidating for first-time use. There are also five inches of insertable length which is pretty standard for a rabbit. It’s long enough to hit the right spots but short enough to avoid the cervix.

When I saw the colour scheme and shape of this rabbit I thought back to my experience with the Lelo Ina 2, a rabbit that I tried a while back that just didn’t work for me. On paper, it looked like it would have been perfect for me but in practice it wasn’t due to the firmness of the internal arm and the positioning of the clitoral arm. I do like my internal vibrators to be firm, but there’s a line between ‘firm enough’ and ‘ouch’. It had no flexibility whatsoever which meant I couldn’t move it around to avoid the bashing it gave to my internal spots and it left me feeling disappointed and wondering whether rabbits were just a waste of my time.

I have said in every rabbit review I have ever written that they are notoriously difficult to get right and are completely dependent on the users anatomy. It can be hard to tell from looking at one whether it will fit or not so it’s usually down to trial and error. Our vulvas are all different, even if the changes are minimal from one person to the next. These subtle changes in anatomy can be the deciding factors as to whether a particular rabbit will work for the user or not. Subtle changes in shape between two rabbits can be another deciding factor. For example, the Ina 2 has a similar shape to the Let’s Go Crazy but this suits me much better due to the flex of the shaft and internal arm.

Let's Go Crazy Rabbit VibratorBeing able to alter the positioning of the internal arm allows me to send it to the places where I want focused stimulation and avoid the spots where it pokes uncomfortably. The bulbous head and gentle curve of the shaft contour to my g-spot beautifully and caress it with rumbly, powerful vibrations. I stick to the constant speeds on high intensities and find myself riding out the waves of orgasm within several minutes.

The clitoral arm is placed in the perfect position for my body allowing the arm to firmly push up against the clitoris rather than sitting above or next to it. I can make the most of these external vibrations because the fit lines up well and I don’t need to move the toy around much internally to get the stimulation that I’m looking for. I think this is due to a combination of the gentle shape and the heating function. Without the heat I think I would have to put in more work to get my orgasms.

Being the sucker for temperature play that I am, a heating function is always warmly welcomed. I usually choose to use cold temperatures with glass and metal sex toys but heat on silicone feels exquisite and each time I experience it I wish all of my toys had the option to warm up. Once the function has been turned on it takes about five minutes to gradually warm up to 38 degrees. It is certainly noticeable at that point and it feels out of this world when combined with the powerful rumbly vibrations of this dual-motored device. It’s something I would recommend everyone try at least once.

Let's Go Crazy Rabbit Vibrator

Overall, I love So Divine more each time a new product is released and this has made me all the more excited for further products in 2018. Let’s Go Crazy is a winning rabbit for me. It has everything that I could want in this style of vibrator as well as the bonus of heat. The shape is perfect, the motors are reasonably quiet, the dimensions are ideal for all players regardless of experience level and the amount of combinations that can be created left me wanting to have fun with this for several more hours after I finished testing it.

Review: Fun Factory Mr Boss Realistic Hybrid Vibrator

When Fun Factory released their hybrid range I was desperate to get my hands on one. I love rechargeable vibrators and find myself leaning towards them 95% of the time so battery-operated vibrators often get overlooked. With this, I have the option to recharge the batteries it comes with so I’m not constantly having to buy new ones or search the house for triple a’s in the heat of the moment. This is much friendlier to the environment and for that reason I think the Hybrid Kit is a must-have buy if you are purchasing the Darling Devil, Wicked Wings, Abby G, Diva Dolphin or the toy I’m reviewing today, Mr Boss.

Fun Factory use the same style of packaging for all of their products. It’s classic and simple with a hint of luxury thrown in. It has an outer cardboard sleeve showing off a glossy product shot over the top of a plain gold cardboard box. This opens to reveal the vibrator alongside a small user leaflet and the click-n-charge manual that comes with all of their rechargeable products. They don’t include any storage pouches, which is one of the only downsides to this brand.

Mr Boss doesn’t come with a charging cable as this is a battery-operated vibrator that needs to be combined with the above mentioned Hybrid Kit in order to become rechargeable. Following the instructions, I removed the base of the vibrator and inserted the two batteries from the kit as directed. I then placed the base back on and plugged the USB into my laptop. From there, I attached the magnetic clip on the cable to the corresponding prongs on the base and waited for the lights to turn on.

The minus button will have a blinking light to begin with. This indicates that the battery life is between 0 and 33%. When that light becomes steady, the blinking light will appear on the plus button. This means that the battery has reached between 33% and 66% charged. After this turns steady a final blinking light will appear on the fun button. This indicates a battery level of 66-99% charged. When the fun buttons light goes solid, the toy has reached 100%.

It is made from Fun Factory’s signature silicone, which is non-toxic, hypoallergenic and completely body-safe. I have noticed that their silicone tends to have a lot more drag (a rougher surface with more friction) than many other brands, so I would recommend being generous with the water based lubricant when using the Mr Boss or any of their other products. I would also recommend rinsing thoroughly before each use as this material attracts ridiculous amounts of lint and fluff. It’s fully waterproof so rinsing under warm water is not an issue and should be done afterwards with soap too.

To control the Mr Boss, press and hold the fun button for a couple of seconds to turn on. To explore the four intensities press the + button. After the highest intensity has been reached, the next tap of the + button takes you to the next function. There are six different vibration modes to choose from. I stick to the constant vibration setting as I personally find patterns off-putting. If you want to go back an intensity or function then press the – button. To turn off, press the fun button.

From the measurements given in the description on the Lovehoney website this sounded like a medium/average sized vibrator. It has eight and a half inches in overall length and six inches insertable. I thought that it looked quite slim upon arrival so I double checked the measurements myself and there is indeed five inches of girth around the widest point although I still think it looks less than. I’m not sure if this is due to the squish of the silicone, the tapered tip or the fact that I’m used to its older sibling, the Big Boss. I would be able to recommend it to those who are fairly new to toys and penetration as it’s not as thick or bulging as I expected.

Described as realistic, I expected more from this. It has a prominent head and some minimal texture around the base of the shaft but there is nothing going on in between. I personally would have liked to have seen some extra veins between the two for added sensation and realism. I’m not keen on overly realistic toys but I think this toy could have done with some added features. It looks almost half-hearted as it is and doesn’t offer much in terms of stimulation. The head has some definition to it which feels great upon insertion but the subtle texture of the shaft didn’t do anything for me as it wasn’t pronounced enough.

Fun Factory Mr Boss Hybrid Realistic Vibrator

It does have a gentle curve that follows the ridge under the head so I decided to give it a go in the hopes that it would stimulate the g-spot. I wasn’t expecting it to be the most successful encounter as the head has some squish to it, but when I got down to business and began thrusting with it, I noticed that it did have some firmness to it that was capable of hitting the right spots. If I do this motion in conjunction with some high intensity vibrations then I can orgasm fairly easily. I would say that the vibrations got buzzier as the intensity increased but not in an irritating, off-putting or numbing sort of way.

I then tried to use it clitorally but I didn’t have much success with it that way. It seems that most of the vibrations are focused in the lower portion of the shaft and don’t travel as well as I’d like so I have to awkwardly hold the shaft up against my clitoris to get a feel for the vibrations. It’s not the most comfortable or precise way to stimulate this zone so I ended up giving up. There was little to no chance of me being able to get off with this awkward positioning. I’ll be sticking to using the Mr Boss for internal use and hoping I can get my hands on one of their new dual stimulators for clitoral use.

Overall, I enjoyed using the Mr Boss but I think I prefer the larger version, the Big Boss. The Big Boss feels more realistic to me, has rumblier vibrations and the sensations travel through the shaft better. I do think that the Mr Boss has some great qualities and fantastic things going for it though. It offers vibrations at a nice frequency, at a quiet volume, with a range of different intensities and functions. It is comfortable to hold, easy to control, body-safe and easy to clean up. On top of all that it is eco-friendly. What’s not to like? If you are looking for a semi-realistic vibrator from a trusted brand that can offer the possibility of g-spot contact then I’d be happy to recommend this to you. If you prefer a step-up in size and more intense vibrations then I’d opt for the Big Boss instead.

You can purchase the Fun Factory Mr Boss Realistic Vibrator (£69.99) and the Fun Factory Hybrid Battery Kit (£17.99) from Lovehoney.

Review: Fifty Shades Darker by Coco de Mer Goddess Basque

Fifty Shades Darker Goddess BasqueI think the packaging for the Fifty Shades Darker lingerie line is boring and disappointing as it’s just a plain plastic pouch. The sex toy packaging for Fifty Shades Darker products is much better and they were made by Lovehoney, a company that cater to all price levels. Coco de Mer are a lavish brand, so something nicer for something that costs this much would have been appreciated. I’m not asking for huge extravagance, but they can do better y’know?

I had never had the pleasure of trying lingerie designed by Coco de Mer before this range came out but as they are known for luxury, I expected this piece to be perfect in terms of quality. It was. It appeared to have been made beautifully and was pretty damn flawless. The Goddess Basque is made up of two main materials and has subtle elements of one other. All three of them felt great and I was particularly impressed with how gorgeously soft the lace was. The mesh was lovely too and this makes a welcome change from the itchy mesh found on cheaper pieces.

For the price, I naively expected this basque to come with matching underwear. It doesn’t. You can get a thong or pair of high-waisted briefs separately, but having already spent £50 on a single piece of lingerie, I’d rather not. I would have been pleased with just a plain black thong with an emerald trim and I don’t think that would have been too much to ask. I don’t think it would have improved the price by much at all either. As of right now I’m just wearing regular black underwear and it looks fine, but I probably will have to get the briefs eventually.

32B was the smallest size available in this basque and I wear a 30A so I was apprehensive about the fit. I thought that I wouldn’t be able to fill out the cups or the band would be loose, but I needn’t have worried. There are two hook-and-eye fastenings on this basque and I wear it on the tightest one. It then fits like a dream. I feel that someone who wears a 28 band might even find this comfortable enough to wear as it seems to run on the smaller side. It should be fine for those who wear a 32 also, but it might be a little tight.

Fifty Shades Darker Goddess BasqueAs for the cups, I surprisingly filled them out well. I obviously don’t have much of a bust, but there was no gaping or obvious spaces remaining. There was a small amount of room left in the cups as I expected but this was not noticeable to my partner at all. I think this is partly due to the clever strapping above the cups. I have found that this style seems to be extremely flattering with the size and shape of my bust and it has fast become one of my favourite bra options to go for. It’s even better on a basque.

One thing that really impressed me about the Goddess Basque was the boning. I have tons of basques that look amazing when I’m standing up or sitting still, but they are ruined with any sort of movement. It’s not particularly flattering as it bunches up the material, creating an odd bump in the front that ruins the overall look of the outfit. This one does not give me those sort of problems. The boning still moves as I do but it doesn’t stick out in bend in the creating a bulge sort of way. It stays pretty close to the skin which is exactly what I hoped it would do.

The final thing that’s worth mentioning is the suspender straps. These are both removable and adjustable. When I have tightened them fully I can attach them to stockings with no problems. I usually struggle with straps being too long for my five-foot, short-arse frame, but the ones on this basque seem to be shorter than most. This is great news for short women like myself, but it means that they may not be long enough for those who are much taller.

Overall, I really like the Goddess Basque. It has a gorgeous colour scheme that I can’t get enough of and after seeing how it looks with my skin tone, I’m convinced that I need more emerald-green in my lingerie collection. I love the strappy cups, mix of materials and the clever strapping across the waist that creates the illusion of a smaller figure. It’s a really flattering piece and I’m incredibly pleased with it. The lack of interesting packaging and matching underwear were the only downsides for me.

Review: Fifty Shades Darker by Coco de Mer Masquerade Basque

If you’ve seen the Fifty Shades Darker movie then you might recognize this sexy get-up as Ana wore a very similar one during the ball scene. For me, it is the standout piece of the fifty Shades Darker lingerie line and is my obvious favourite of the three pieces I have. I went back and forth in it for a while, but I knew that I couldn’t resist the temptation and not have this basque. It’s a touch pricier than the pieces I usually go for, but I hoped that Coco de Mer’s luxury take on the design would make it worth the spend.

My initial impressions were that of disappointment as I found the packaging underwhelming. I am in no way asking for layers of extravagance, but I would have appreciated something nicer than a plain plastic pouch. This is not a cheap item of lingerie, so I feel that it deserved a better presentation. I did order through Lovehoney, not Coco, so I can’t be sure that Coco wouldn’t wrap it up in their signature burgundy tissue paper, but I still feel something extra would be needed. A lovely satin gift bag perhaps?

Fifty Shades Darker Masquerade BasqueUntil this range launched I had never had the pleasure of trying lingerie designed by Coco de Mer. They are known for their lavish tastes, so I expected this basque to be immaculate in terms of quality and it truly was. I could not find any flaws with it whatsoever and it appeared to be made beautifully. It’s made up of two main materials, one being satin and the other being mesh. Both felt great to the touch and I was particularly impressed with how soft and comfortable they were. Mesh can sometimes be itchy or irritating, but it wasn’t the case on this basque.

For the original £60 price tag I thought this basque would come with matching underwear. Perhaps that was naive of me and maybe I’ve been spoiled by the additional thong thrown in with cheaper sets, but it bugged me. I would have been pleased with a plain mesh thong with silver trim, but as it didn’t come with anything I’ve been wearing it with regular black undies in the closest material I can find to match. You can pick up a thong or pair of high-waisted briefs separately, but these were not stocked at Lovehoney when I made my purchase.

32B was the smallest size available in this basque and I wear a 30A so I was apprehensive that I wouldn’t be able to fill out the cups or the band wouldn’t fit, but I needn’t have worried. There are three hook-and-eye fastenings on the back and I wear this on the tightest setting. It fits great. From my experiences with the Fifty Shades Darker collection I’d say that the sizing runs small. I wouldn’t consider it to be out of the question for someone who wears a 28 back size, but I think it might be skin-tight on someone who wears a 32.

Fifty Shades Darker Masquerade BasqueAs for the cups, I seemed to fill them out well. I obviously am lacking in the bust department, but there was no gaping or anything like that. I did notice a bit of leftover room as expected, but this wasn’t noticeable to anyone but me. I actually found them to be very flattering, supporting and comfortable. I think they even gave me a bit of a boost too, which is a bonus. It didn’t flatten the little I have to offer, so I’m pretty pleased with the overall fit on the bust.

One thing that I was impressed by was the boning. I have tons of basques and a huge percentage of them look great when standing or sitting still but start to stick out win any sort of movement. It’s not particularly flattering and the odd bump created in the material ruins the look of the outfit and douses water on the sex appeal. The Masquerade Basque doesn’t give me those sort of problems. The boning still moves as I do, but it doesn’t stick out or bend, so no odd bulges appear. This is exactly what I’d hoped it would do, so I was very satisfied. This made it worth the spend for me if I’m honest.

The final thing that I feel is worth mentioning is the suspender straps. These are not removable but can be adjusted. When I’ve pulled them up as much they will allow I am able to attach them to thigh-highs with no problems. I struggle with straps being too long for my five-foot frame all the time, but these seem to run small as the rest of the basque does. That’s great for shorter women like myself, but it means they may not be long enough for those who have a foot on me.
