Review: Tracey Cox Supersex Glass Dildo Set

I ordered this Tracey Cox Supersex Glass Dildo Set on Deal of the Day from Lovehoney for £20. That’s only £10 a dildo! If you’ve ever browsed the Lovehoney forum and asked about glass toys, this set will be recommended dozens of times, without a doubt. It has over 300 glowing reviews and here’s why. There’s something for everybody in this set, it has texture, pleasing aesthetics, temperature play options and best of all, the clear dildo is suitable for both vaginal and anal play, so can be used by any gender. It is advised not to use the pink one anally as there is no flared base. Glass is a fantastic material, it’s extremely tough, durable and best of all, body-safe.

Tracey Cox Supersex Glass Dildo SetI no longer have the packaging, but I remember the dildo set arriving in classic, sleek packaging, typical of the Tracey Cox Supersex range. A no-nonsense black and pink box with a picture of a couple of the front and suggestions of ways to use the toys on the back. The packaging for this range is extremely beginner and couple friendly, a perfect introduction to sex toys. Inside the box, both dildos were stored within some plastic casing along with two velvet storage bags and a small information guide with further suggestions and cleaning directions.

The Pink Dildo

This dildo is the more aesthetically pleasing of the two, it’s a very pretty toy, despite it being pink. It’s a wonderfully soft, baby pink, which is a nice change from all the tacky, bright, Barbie shades that seem to dominate the industry. I don’t mind this pale shade of pink when used in glass, but I am slowly becoming tired of the colour.

This dildo has a pointed phallic-like bulbous tip at one end and two bulbous shapes at the other end, giving you two options to experiment with, both ultimately leading to the star of the show, which is the shaft. The shaft may be thinner than the initial entry girth, but it has the bonus of texture, as six raised nodules line one side. This dildo is the straighter and grittier of the two, being around 4.5 inches at its widest point, which might not sound like much to some people, but with no give from the material and the raised nodules, it can still provide a filling sensation as it caresses your pleasure zone.

Tracey Cox Supersex Glass Dildo SetBefore trying out the dildo, I did think that the nodules looked a little painful, as they appear slightly pointed on the website pictures, but in person, they’re rounder and smoother, not to mention, absolutely amazing internally.  I have to use quite a generous amount of lube with this dildo for it to glide in easily, but once it’s inserted, it feels absolutely incredible.

I personally prefer to use the phallic end of the toy as this allows me to accommodate more of the texture. I’ve found after inserting the double bulbed end, that I can’t insert as much of the length of the shaft without feeling it scrape against my cervix. I would much rather feel the nodules deliciously massage me in their entirety, than experience the bulbs, a couple of nodules and a helping of uncomfortableness and possible pain. I find the toy easier to grip when using this end too, as the double bulbs act as more of a solid handle.

I have found this toy to be painful if quickly thrusted with reckless abandon, so tend to use it with slow in and out motions instead. This not only feels more comfortable, but it also allows me to really enjoy the texture. I love using twisting sensations with this toy too, especially if it has been chilled first. I find this to be intensely satisfying. A final way that I like to use the glass dildo is actually handing it over to my partner for him to rub the cold nodules across my clitoral hood. I find it to be a brilliant warm-up to using this toy internally.

The Clear Dildo

Tracey Cox Supersex Glass Dildo SetI absolutely love this dildo and whilst it may not be the most visually stimulating, it never fail to bring me to orgasm, whether that is on its own or combined with a powerful clit vibe [read:tango}. I find it to be lightweight and suitable for pretty much any mood.

It is considerably thinner than the pink dildo at only 3.75 inches, but I am pretty pleased still as the texture suits me perfectly, pushing the pink dildo into second place. Thanks to the slimmer girth, I don’t require much lube with this toy and can sometimes get away with using none at all.

Again, there are two ways to use the toy. This set is pretty much 4 dildos in one, which for the price, is fantastic. There’s the smoother end or the end with three raised bulbs, both ends have similar slim tapered tips allowing easy insertion, but I prefer the end with raised bulbs. I find this end manages to hit my G-Spot with ease every, single time. I love to clench around the dildo, feeling every bulb as the pressure mounts against the sweet spot and it’s also a lovely dildo to thrust and twist with, it’s an all-rounder. I found the best way to position myself to allow perfect access to all the right places, is on my side with one leg raised.

Unfortunately, I’m still living at home so putting these dildos in the fridge to cool isn’t an option, but keeping either dildo in a jug of cold water before use can fill my icy cravings. I don’t really like to warm glass up, but easy enough to do with a jug of warm water if I wanted. They are both very easy to clean with a quick rinse and some soap, although I occasionally need to get an old toothbrush on the texture of the pink one to remove any unwanted fluids.

I’m so happy I tried glass or I never would have experienced these beautiful pieces of art. I do favour the slimmer clear one as I find the texture works better for me and I have to be in the mood to enjoy the pink one, but they are both fantastic in their own ways.
